Australian virgin activated carbon refers to a high-quality type of activated carbon extracted from natural deposits in Australia. Called “virgin” because it is not recycled or regenerated, it ensures optimum purity and efficiency in adsorbing contaminants, and captures 4 times more airborne particles than any other carbon. This type of carbon, used in carbon filters for indoor cultivation, is known for its ability to capture odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) thanks to its highly absorbent porous structure.
Composition and construction: Rodwin's carbon filter consists of a steel cylinder covered by a washable cotton pre-filter that retains large particles in suspension. This carbon filter is highly resistant to corrosion, guaranteeing long service life and trouble-free use. The Australian layer of virgin charcoal is sandwiched between a 53% open inner and outer steel mesh, ensuring optimum air circulation. Thanks to its conical bottom, air can flow efficiently to the end of the filter, creating a kind of dynamic vortex, unlike conventional flat-bottomed filters.
